TEST DAVE LOUGHNANE RACING CLUB

Dave Loughnane Racing Club have two exciting horses to get involved with. A proven 3 year old called Snaafy and an exciting 2 year old by Ten Sovereigns, who was recently acquired from the Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale. 

Snaafy is a tough, progressive horse who showed plenty as a 2 year old, winning and placing on multiple occasions. We expect him to improve further at 3 and beyond. He’s versatile in terms of trip, track and ground and we’ll start him over a mile before stepping him up to 1m2f and potentially 1m4f as the season develops. He looks well handicapped and should give members plenty of fun along the way. 

Our Ten Sovereigns filly out of Sagres is a sharp and speedy looking 2 year old that we acquired from the Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale. Her dam, Sagres, was a winner at 2 and she comes from a very good blacktype family. She did a great breeze and is only a few weeks away from her first run.

Here’s some more information…..

• The Horses

There will be a minimum of two horses in the Club at any one time. With the aim that as the Club grows the number of horses will increase.

• Racing Club App

All Club members will be given access to the ‘Stride’ app where there will be regular trainer updates, videos, pictures and race entries for the horses in the Club. The Stride app also allows members to comment on the posts and send messages to the Trainer and Club Manager. 

• Stable Visits

There will be regular stable visits arranged via the Stride app so that you get the opportunity to visit the yard and see your horses on the gallops. 

• Raceday Experience 

There will be regular opportunities for Club members to go racing and also experience a day at the races as an owner. 

• Prize Money

Any prize money will be held in the Club account and used towards race entry fees, jockey fees etc. 

• Horse Ownership

Initially the horses will be leased by the Club so any proceeds from the sale of the horses will go back to their owners. Once the Club develops the aim is that any prize money won will go towards purchasing new or additional horses.
